Here are the first rounder in order of selection (except for 2024, no particular order)

2022
Nemec
jiricek
korchinski
mintyukov
bichsel
pickering
rinzel
Lamoureux

2023
Reinbacher
Simashev
Willander
ASP
Bonk
MOlendyk
Lindstein
Gulyayev

2024
Dickinson
Buium
Parekh
Levshnunov
yakemchuk
silayev
A, Jiricek
Kiviharjhu

I am no expert on prospect that are not drafted, so I have very limited vewings of the 2024 class, I can say though that I like the 2022 class way better than the 2023 class. So here is my top 10:

1. Simon Nemec
2. Pavel Mintyukov
3.David Jiricek
4. Artyum Levshunov
5. Zeev Buium
6. David Reinbacher
7.Sam Dickinson
8. Kevin Korchinski
9.ASP
10. Zayne Parekh (limited vewings but those stats are insane, I feel like Dickinson is easier to predict..)

Looks like a pretty solid list, I think mine would be about the same 1-9. Not sure I’d have parekh at 10 tho

If we are talking pre-draft, I think the 2022 and 2024 draft classes are similar in talent. 2023 a bit below, especially at the top of the draft

Mateychuk is from 2022 draft (12th OA) and is one of the best D prospects in the league. He's very well rounded, I think NHL ready. And he currently has 27 pts in 15 WHL playoff games.

I am no expert on prospect that are not drafted, so I have very limited vewings of the 2024 class, I can say though that I like the 2022 class way better than the 2023 class. So here is my top 10:

I like the D in this draft, only a couple in my top ten D prospects but I'd put Yakemchuk, Pulkkinen, Dickinson, and Silayev just outside my top ten, and Parekh not far behind them.

The 2022 D are the best, but that's partly because several of them are more proven in the pros now.

1. Pavel Mintyukov '22
2. Simon Nemec '22
3. Zeev Buium '24
4. Denton Mateychuk '22
5. Artyom Levshunov '24

6. David Reinbacher '23
7. David Jiricek '22
8. Dmitri Simashev '23
9. Lian Bichsel '22
10. Tom Willander '23

Not that it matters much, but Wheeler (and seemingly some scouts) see all 6 top D this year 2024 as better than Reinbacher and Simashev. Don't know what they think about them vs. 2022.

Bob McK June 2023: David Reinbacher, the rangy Austrian 6-2, 194-pound blueliner who is not regarded as an offensive defenceman and is not seen as an intimidating shutdown defender but plays an upper-echelon two-way game is No. 8 on TSN’s final list. He is the consensus top defenceman in this year’s draft. His range was as high as No. 7 and as low as No. 15.

I see all 5 d going in top 8 along with Celebrini, Demidov and Lindstrom.
