And Mac played well with Bourne and Jakobi Meyers. Your point?

You gotta let it go. Zappe isn't a number 1. Never was, never will be, even though he  thinks hes a #1 franchise QB.

Page is turned. New era is upon us.

I bet you twenty years from now, there will be Bailey Zappe hold outs hiding in mountains of Maine, popping their head out every September, and saying "HE'S STILL BETTER THAN MAC" before going back into their cave and hiding like Punxsutawney Phil.

I'm learning a bit about him. He's got type 1 diabetes. Had a sports hernia. Calcium deposits started to form right where he had the surgery, training staff vs the doctors had some issues with eachother. Had to get a second surgery to get rid of the deposits. 6 months later, before fall camp it was still bothering him, got another surgery where they took out all the deposits. Took him all of 2021 to recover. It took him longer to recovery. So that's why he left UNC and went home to Texas. He started to feel better and this 2 seasons ago during fall camp, he went up for a regular jump ball. Caught it..but his teammate kind of dragged him down, landed on his shoulder. Grade 5 AC separation. Played some limited snaps, and then he started the next game, got hit in the shoulder again and he realized there's no way he can play through it. Had to get shoulder last season. He's 100% fully healthy. Finished up his masters. Worked hard with a strength and conditioning coach. He's now prepared to play.

Caught a lot of Maye's passes during the pro day. Some tough balls he made look easy. Rooting for him.

Kid seems like he has legit talent, but just caught a bad case of the injury bug. Would be nice if the Patriots could strike gold on an undrafted kid like Corrales.

Hey, why is he going to Maine? How about NH or VT.

We all must admit that Zappe was better than Mac Jones, and please not that first phony year of his.

Good.

Let the best kicker win. We also brought in a "rookie" kicker to mini camp Vince Blanchard.

Canadian kicker Vincent Blanchard has landed a rookie mini-camp invite with the New England Patriots, per sources.

The 25-year-old is regarded as the top specialist in the 2024 CFL Draft but will now get a chance to compete for a spot in Foxborough with the rest of the NFL Draft class.

A native of Quebec City, Blanchard was named a second-team All-Canadian last season after posting a 94 percent mark on field goals. He is best remembered for his five-for-five outing that powered the Laval Rouge et Or to victory in the 2022 Vanier Cup game, which included a career-long make of 49 yards.

In 29 games for Laval, Blanchard has connected on 53-of-71 field goals (74.6 percent), while nailing 88-of-89 extra points and adding 14 singles. He has also handled the team’s punting duties, booting 186 times for an average of 39.7 yards and pinning 55 kicks inside the twenty-yard line.

Chad wins because Chad is stud, the h8ers can’t stand his walk off 57 yarder. He’s got coolant for blood, ice in his veins.

I'm rooting for that Blanchard kid. He seems like he's got a cannon leg and could play either Kicker or Punter. The highlight video they showed of him said he could play either position.

I will say, the kid came in the clutch for the tankathon.
