Looking at the upcoming 2024 draft, expert draft-watchers have labelled it somewhat 'mediocre'. It's top-heavy with d-men, who are always more of a crapshoot in the first round. And apparently after about pick #20, the talent really starts to slide.
I think it's possible that the Canucks identify another 'faller' in the third round, like they did with Brzustewicz. As of this writing, the Canucks also own the Devils fourth rounder in the trade of Curtis Lazar; They have two picks in Round #6 and one in the Round #7.
So barring any more deals, obviously this draft isn't likely to do much to move the needle in the Canucks overall prospect pool.
