Larkin: our MVP, our heart and soul. A
Raymond: everything's been said. A+
Perron: when he was on, he was A- with some very timely goals. But more often than not he was a C. So -- B on average.
Kane: see Perron but better. B+
DBC: yes, he is third on the team with points but his relentless use of the Invisibility Cloak was infuriating. Totally useless when not scoring. B
Compher: I felt he punched above his weight. He did the best he could and came through at the most appropriate times. B+
Fabbri: you always expect him to be injured. I've never seen a player so easily beaten one-on-one as him. But he always gives it all he's got. B
Rasmussen: He's got the tools but he isn't using them. C+
Copp: C-
Sprong: C
Veleno: See Rasmussen C+
Fischer: kinda exceeded expectations. B
Czarnik: expected nothing, got that. C

Gostisbehere: People love to hate on him, and he generally sucks at defense, but he is the most offensively talented d-man we've had since Rafalski. B+
Seider: always had the toughest assignments. B+
Petri: started bad, improved towards the end of the season. B-
Walman: B+
Chiarot: played better than last year but still mediocre. C+
Edvinsson: B+. Great potential. Made some rookie mistakes but defense without him and with him is like two different teams.
Maatta: C+
Holl: C-

Husso: D
Reimer: C-
Lyon: had an "A" stretch, then became a D

Coaching: Some decisions were puzzling, some downright horrendous. I believe, had Yzerman fired Lalonde in the middle of March, we would've made playoffs. But the special teams improved a great deal. C

GM: The only real deal Yzerman made throughout the season was signing Kane, which was excellent. But I felt like he should've done more. Starting from firing Lalonde when the team went on their second losing skid. B

Larkin: we were reminded in March when he was hurt - A+
Raymond: Stepped up when the pressure stepped up A+
Perron: dumb penalties, can't skate, but still surprisingly effective for stretches: B
Kane: much closer to the pre-surgery player than anyone could have hoped for. Reminded us of late Dats poise. Obvs no D or board battles, but a big moments player time and again. A
DBC: Hot month, cold month, hot month, cold month. Better as a volume shooter. Overshadowed by the above too often, but when he's hot, he's deadly. - B
Compher: Happily turned out more like Yzerman hoped than the fans feared. Slowed a bit in the middle, but overall a good first wings season B+
Fabbri: . Kind of amazing he's playing with his injury issues. Lost a step though so now a down the lineup guy, for which he is overpaid. C
Rasmussen: A slight regression from last year, but good in his current deployment C+
Copp: If he was $2.5m or lower contract we'd love him. At this contract, he's the new Abby. Useful but hugely overpaid. C-
Sprong: As advertised. Great finishing, good points in limited minutes, unable to sustain defensive effort all season, doesn't seem agreat guy for the room. Won't be back, but did pretty well all things considered. B-
Veleno: Was amazing for a bit, but then returned to "Oh, Veleno played" form. Meh. C
Fischer: Pretty much exactly as expected, and no shame in that. C+
Czarnik: Vaguely competent warm body and has that status. C

Gostisbehere: Basically a slightly better version of the player he's always been. Might be too rich to bring back B+
Seider: Hardest matchups in the NHL since they started keeping records, and still put up 42 points with not a lot of top PP sniffs. A
Petrey: Fine as a 6/7, and maybe a 5/6 once he found his sea legs. Ended better than it started C
Walman: Was great but then got banged up and was struggling a bit after that. Still a def top 4 d for us - and he brought the shot and some entertainment. A-
Chiarot: On the occasions he plays simple, he's pretty good. If his decision making matched his tools he'd be a bonafide 3 D. B-
Edvinsson: Going to be amazing once he picks up his pace a little. Still very promising. B+
Maatta: Meh - not quite as good as last year, but mostly solid-ish. C
Holl: Initially looked better than reported, then as reported, then disappeared. C-

Husso: bad then broken. Next year to save his NHL career I guess. D
Reimer: Even more chaotic than anticipated, but on his good nights did enough to win more than one would expect. C
Lyon: Jekyll and Hyde - Career backup hits wall as soon as relied on for any amount of time....still, without him coming in from the cold and being great for a bit, our season would have been done by February. B

Coaching: Mixed bag. Special teams good, 5 on 5 bad, no timeouts, variable motivation. Still the closest we've been in a long time so a B- (would have been an A- if not for March)

GM: Holl deal bad. Sprong, Compher, Kane and Ghost all matched or exceeded expectations. Lyon deal good on balance, and Reimer - meh. Too slow to give Ed a look, but getting Kane was pretty special. Overall B+
