Side note…..Colorado getting every break already. Drawing Seattle round 1, easy. Dallas usually gives them problems….down 1-0 to Minnesota. Oh and the Oilers lost.

Maybe the over the cap Golden Knights can take them out?

So many people - in general, not talking about here - overlooked this last year in their schadenfreude over the Knights missing the playoffs. I'm not saying Las Vegas wins a playoff series over the Avs last year, but they would've easily been the toughest 1st round opponent that Colorado could've gotten. Certainly tougher than a Saros-less Preds team which was an absolute walk in the park instead.

Maybe it wouldn't have made a difference...Colorado went 12-4 in the following three rounds too, or maybe a tougher opponent at least forcing an extra game or two out of them would've at least done something to put more wear and tear on them once they got to the Final. Us playing 17 games to their 14 had to have helped them out quite a bit.

Florida outplayed Boston the first two periods.

But Boston really shut things down in the 3rd. Boston played a fantastic defensive game. It's crazy to see that team with that style of play now

Boston is impressive as in they play amazing hockey as a team although the individual parts (players) aren’t that amazing or super dominant world stars (except for Pasta). Cool to see them all buy into the game plan and execute it perfectly like a clockwork. And that’s coming from a Lightning fan who does not like Boston a lot.

I think Seattle has a shot, they've led in every game in that series. Blew a 2 goal lead in the series already and could realistically already have a 3-1 lead. It's clear Colorado isn't the same team they were last year, which doesn't mean they'll lose the series but it does mean Seattle advancing wouldn't be too surprising.

After a game in which they got outshot 43-22 by Seattle and Makar didn't even get a major on the play. Didn't expect Colorado to struggle like this.

Winning back-to-back is hard, especially in a cap world. Last year they had a perfect storm of players on discount contracts and good health. Their depth has been absolutely decimated this season.

At least if Seattle beats Colorado it takes some of the heat off us

We're still going to forever be the team thst gave the Leafs their first series win in over 20 years, but Torontonwas the heavy favourite going into the series.

Colorado losing to Seattle is a much bigger upset. Tampa losing isn't even an upset

Damn Draisaitl at 6 goals in this series alone, outshining McDavid so far.

Looks like we have a good chance to be the first team eliminated this year. Let’s not go for that honor though.

I'm really happy seeing how much the Bruins are squirming right now. A 1st round defeat, blowing a 3-1 lead, after the season they had would do a lot to take whatever remaining stain remains from 2019.

I'm disappointed that the Islanders are out, We've never won the Stanley Cup without defeating the Islanders in the playoffs, so, based on history, our Cup chances died tonight.

Man how are Boston this f***ing bad
They punched above their weight all season long. Not only that they got someone desperate who isn't gonna lay down in a regular contest too. The Bruins are going to have to exercise a mental fortitude they haven't had to use all year

If there's any reason the President's trophy is a curse that's it
