Still amazed that the Avalanche were able to get the value that they did for Newhook.

Goes to show that even if your player is mediocre—if they play in a scarce position it will always be a multiplier on their value.

Using that logic, the Canucks ought to draft a C and RD tonight. That positional luxury is their insurance policy in case the player doesn’t develop.

I had a dream a couple days ago that we got Reinbacher, so I’m expecting nothing less.

I dreamt that Nucks were part of a four team trade, sending away Myers and 4th, getting troy stecher back. They shook hands at SeaTac airport and Stecher was wearing his Kachina jersey. That being said I just hope they draft well this year, didn't pay attention to who's who to save my sanity

This is why picking "BPA" is such an old strategy.
Go for big D (ideally RHD) and C with most of your draft picks.
If you wanna go for a Skilled winger? Sure, If he is a generational or superstar talent, go ahead, if not, grab him in round 3+
You can always trade D and C for more picks down the road.
It's not a full-proof strategy, but in the long run, it makes sense.
and before people mention juolevi. The issue was not so much we picked a D, it was the D who we picked, if we picked serg or Mcavoy, nobody would be upset.
But i had this debate for awhile, let's see how they do this draft

Pronman is the guy who's lowest on Benson. Not just in mock drafts but rankings. Will be really interesting if he ends up being correct on the NHL's evaluation of him today.

Realistically, what has actually leaked out from this management group? I don't buy that anyone actually knows what the Canucks are doing.
