It is time for the General Managers of the HFNHL to complete their sworn duty to vote for the starters of the 2023 HFNHL All Star Game.

Remember the following Rules:

RULES:
1. You can't vote for anyone within your own organization.
2. Most votes per position wins.
3. $500,000 for players voted in at their position as listed above.
4. Voting is mandatory. Those GMs who do not submit a vote will have their name submitted to the Admin team for disciplinary action. They will also void their team from receiving any cash earned through All-Star selections.
5. The winning GMs will fill out the rest of the roster with their selections once the starters are named.
6. You can write in votes by adding another voting option to the poll.

Votes are due by Sunday, February 12

Please use this thread to hype your own candidates.

Columbus candidates:

D Victor Hedman:
- tied for league lead in goals from a blueliner (10, tied with Makar)
- top-3 in the East for points from a blueliner (36, behind Makar (42) and Provorov (37))
- tied for points lead on CBJ

Hedman is producing at close to league-leading numbers despite supporting an underwhelming team offence that is only 10th in the East in goals for (120).

G Cam Talbot (figures in the East):
- top-3 in save%
- top-2 in gaa
- top-2 in shutouts

Talbot has been a rock for Columbus, and is a big reason why the team is top 3 in the East and top-5 overall in goals against.

GM - Douglas Emerson
I humbly put forward my own name for consideration for GM, having swung for the fences to upgrade in advance of the deadline, picking up both the top goalie and one of the top C likely to move this season *without* committing to rentals or ravaging my farm. All but two spots for the 2023-24 season (4C, 6D) are already filled, with more than $6m in cap space left to work with this summer, so the team is built to challenge (and hopefully contend) beyond this season.

Vote for the Ducks:

GM - Nobody works the lines and completes more than myself. I also promise to make a couple of surprise selections to the team. Ducks had an awful start and trade town has led to holding a playoff spot.

Coach - Jared Bednar. How many coaches have to go into game prep never knowing who you might have on your team?

Goalie - Jack Campbell. He has led the Ducks from the brink of a blowup to contender. He has a .922 save % and 2.41 GAA.

Position players - Brent Burns and Mitch Marner. It’s no secret the Ducks turnaround happened with Marner’s arrival and he is well over a PPG as a Duck. Burns has been amazing and a top D all year with 33 points in 41 games.

Duchene is with Wild now and was acquired from Detroit for Jamie Benn who was later traded to Ottawa. So you could have either have Benn or Duchene in your roster depending on when the cutoff date for Allstar was set at.
