It’s got to be said

This season is gonna suck so bad

Even the announcers were like this is ridiculous
Red Bull passed other cars like they are on a highway just moving into the passing lane so casually.

It is all made worse when watching boring races in places like Bahrain and Saudi Arabia... I just enjoy F1 so much more at traditional venues.. or at least cool venues like Azerbaijan.

What a bizarre back and forth to get to the correct result. While I do feel there should be no contact at all with the car, there can't be penalties like that so long after.

What's even more confusing about it is that there was the exact same situation with Ocon in Bahrain, and then they had it investigated and penalized in no time.

Wasn't he going to be replaced by the incoming Ferrari guy anyway?
Yes but these moves are pretty much long-term moves, and if they're changing concepts they're probably in for a rough patch at first, too.

This years car is pretty much done. They can't really do much to change it.

Well... There's the Aston Martin precedent from last season, where it went from the clear 9th car on the grid to a decent midfielder (on average) by completely changing their car.

Bahrein generally gives decent and interesting racing. It's by far the best Middle East track (and I'm REALLY not stoked about Losail for F1).

So are we hoping for rain this weekend?

FP2 in the wet.
