Wow... OM out...
OM got jobed by the ref in the first leg but deserved to lose.
Tonight they should have scored 4 goals.
Penalty is a pen per nowadays rules.
But the foul on Douzi in the box not called 2 mn before was also a pen.
And then the disallowed goal is disgusting.

Reffing beat them but they should have scored more and in any case this OM doesn't go past Braga in this form.

There doesn't look to be a single team in this group that will make it out of the groups and will be lucky to even make the Europa.

Foul on Lodi, foul on Sarr and goal at the second post. And ref says there's offside by Sarr who didn't touch the ball because he was fouled. Somehow, it's Pana who escaped either goal or pen here.

Not the first time Oliver screws a french club too.

Always the referees' fault, they've never won anything in Europe but it's always the referees' fault. How beautiful are the traditions.

Haven't you heard about the ongoing agenda against french teams in Europe? They always get's screwed over. Never lost a fair fight you know.

Haifa is a worse team with Bakhar leaving. They can still score, but their defending is 10x worse - they’ll get ripped to shreds (more) if they progress in the playoffs.

That looks like a clear offside to me. He's challenging for the ball and impacting the defenders ability to intercept the cross.

The potential foul on the edge of the box is outside the box and thus VAR can't award a pen.

He was fouled but the defenseman, thus he didn't impact his ability to get the ball.
As for the earlier foul it starts outside and finished inside which is, per the rules, a penalty.
Not even touching the foul on Douzi at 2-0 where the defenseman doesn't try to play the ball.

The only time continuation matters is if it's a holding foul. It looked like the defender had let go of the attacker by the time they hit the line and it was the results of the tangle that continue as opposed to active holding still occurring.

I'm not really sure where Sarr was fouled. It's a super low quality video, so it's hard to get details.

Sarr was fouled when he wanted to play the ball.
And yes the tangle created by the hold happenned in the box.

If he was offside, the defender went to play the ball and instead fouled him that is, by definition, being involved in play and thus offside.

A "tangle" continuing from outside the box to inside the box is not a penalty. The hold is the penalty, which occurred outside the box. The foul appeared to occur well outside the box and the OM player was already well on his way down before crossing into the box. The momentum of the attacker and defender carried them both into the box but in situations like that the foul is adjudged to have occurred outside the box.

Initial foul happens outside the box, no penalty.

I don't see a foul on Sarr, who is clearly offside and makes an effort to play the ball, which affects the defense.

All in all, good refereeing.
