With Seattle now officially eliminated, thought I'd do them next.

As always, let me know if I ommitted anyone that should be on the poll.

A few solid candidates, the main ones imo are..

Jared McCann
- leading goalscorer and point producer on the team. 8 more goals and 7 more points than the next best on the team.

Vince Dunn
- is 3rd in points and leads the team in assists and +/-. He also has 22 more points than the 2nd most productive defenseman. All of this despite playing 58 games.

He's also basically tied with McCann for the highest PPG on the team, McCann barely edges him out and in more games, but impressive nonetheless. Leaguewide, he has the 12th highest PPG for defenseman and is 20th in points.

Joey Daccord
- he is 3rd in sv% leaguewide! He does play on a competent defensive team 5 on 5 that's currently 9th best in the league, but the PK is slightly below average at 18th.

His advanced stats however, are still very solid. He's 24th in goals saved above expected per 60 for goalies that have played at least 20 games. It's worth noting though that 8 of the names ahead of him haven't hit 30 GP when he's about to hit 50.

Daccord, surely he's benefited of the competent defense in front of him but regardless a worthy Vezina candidate this year.

McCann is such an interesting player.

In his 3 seasons in Seattle, he's averaged 34 goals and 65 points and has averaged 2.7 shots/game exactly each of the three seasons. That's...pretty damn impressive.

He's also averaged around 16 minutes of ice every single season (that's low-end L2 minutes if not straight up middle six territory) and he's never had more than around 2:30 per game on the PP despite being, overwhelming, the most efficient scorer on an offense-starved team.

I understand the expansion draft construction of the team really resulted in good depth and no stars, meaning lots of evenly distributed ice time. But it does seem strange that McCann has never in these three seasons been utilized more when his efficiency in terms of per/minute is extremely high and he is a constant shot generator.

Is he a middle six volume shooter on a mediocre team whose effectiveness goes down with a bigger role or is he an underrated and efficient goal-scoring hybrid winger/center who would do even better with a bigger role?

Damn this one's got considerably less votes than the other team MVP polls. Funny since this is probably the closest one yet imo.
