Seems like a steal at 132... Dan Boyle vibes, or maybe Sam Girard (a complementary offensive D, 2nd PP QB kind of player). Lots of folks thought he was a 2nd round guy, 1st late in a normal year.

Anyone know if Cagnoni's staying in Portland next season?

At least Roy's turning it around a bit, 31 points in 68 KHL games this season.
I dont know but its hard to see him going anywhere else. Pretty small and young so would not be a good idea to give him to a mens league yet, and hes Canadian so unlikely to want to play in europe.

Seems like the kind of guy who could do a year more in junior and assuming he scores over a PPG moves into the AHL in the following year.

Elite Prospects had his playing style and potential in what Sam Girard and Vince Dunn are, so that's pretty good to hear from the offensive point of view. I can see a world where if everything goes right he could be a Shark one day and hopefully partnered with a defencemen that's more of a defensive minded. He seemed pretty cool guy and has this sparky/energy personality, so that could be good for a locker room.
It would be awesome if Ferraro gets his game developed towards more defensively complete, it would be cool named pair of Ferraro - Cagnoni.
EDIT: Cagnoni is leftie, so maybe not Ferraro as RD

I'm really impressed to see a defencemen do The Michigan, that is a move so far from a regular defencemen skillset. Not really sure he will get a chance to use that move in NHL as a defencemen.

His execution on this move is by far the smoothest I've seen from anyone doing it. He does it at the speed of a wrap around. The fact that a defensemen can do this makes me think in 5-10 years we will be seeing multiple of these a week in the NHL. Kids are learning to do it younger and developing it way further than what it traditionally has been. If you can do this, there is no reason to do a wrap around which basically never goes in. The way to defend it is more pressure from your net front defense on the post, but that will likely leave slot forwards uncovered.

Agreed, the game is going to be changing massively with the stick skills coming up

Good point, I was actually surprised he managed to do it in such a high speed. Hopefully we'll see a high flying new Sharks wave coming up! If everything goes well, we might have found our PP specialist, I think he will be so much fun to watch this year racking up some points. Hopefully Sharks manage to deploy him well in the future, there is something there.

Thats because he didnt pick scoop like traditional Michigan move, he slid his blade under the puck like the Finnish kid did in WJC a few years back

What impressed me was that he did this after picking up what was essentially a loose puck. He laid a soft backhander into his forward, who boots it to the side of the net below the goal line, and Cagnoni is just like “meh, Michigan, whatever”. Very impressive.
