Yeah but Jansen is the backup catcher. Also you've got to consider what do you do defensively if you do that. Jansen is a catcher, not a DHer. You can't put him at DH, that's like not allowed. Also if he's DH and Kirk gets hurt then I'm pretty sure that's an automatic loss, and the universe explodes. So it's a very tough decision.
