It reads like a pre-season celebration month as it spans from Sept 12 to Oct 12, the first day of the promo to the first regular season game, respectively. There's a bunch of events in between.

Ascent definition is "the act of rising". Guess the verbiage makes sense as we're progressing to the start of the regular season. I guess it's hype month to try to increase more community participation. I think Zegras blossoming will do even more hype and him showing up to more events will do that too in the future.
