I’m nitpicking, but I’d argue that Cherington had a process. Henry didn’t trust it, or at least didn’t appreciate its deliberate pace.

Cherington did have a good process by surrounding core parts with character guys and integrating prospects gradually. The problem is that Tom Werner poked his nose into it for NESN ratings and selling panda hats by making him sign Sandoval and Hanley. Then they blamed him when the team was mediocre and brought in Dombrowski to sell out for one year of dominance.

If the Bruins had a stretch like this against division rivals in the middle of the season, I'd want someone fired or a trade to be made.

But it's not Alex's fault, Bloom has the team going in the right long-term direction, and there's not much they can do until the deadline heats up. Even then, a first baseman won't change everything. Just kind of have to accept it right now.

The Yankees rotation can be had. Sox have gotten to them lately. Now if the Sox could get the rest of their act together...

He'll be up eventually.

He's had a long path since being drafted, definitely has the stuff.
How hard is he throwing these days
