RULES: Each poll will remain open for 2 days. In the case of a tie within the top 10, I'll create a 1-day runoff poll to decide the winner. Ties outside of the top 10 will be left as ties. For each additional poll, I will add the most commented next to add prospect.

ELIGIBILITY: All players whose rights are held by the Buffalo Sabres and who are eligible to win the Calder Trophy for the 2022-23 season are eligible inclusion. That means a prospect is eligible if--
  • He is under age 26 (as of September 15, 2022);
  • He has played no more than 25 games in any single preceding season; and
  • He has not played 6 or more games in each of any two or more preceding seasons.

NEXT TO ADD: Comment the player you want to see added to the next poll. The following players are eligible:
  • Forwards: Linus Sjodin, Matej Pekar, Linus Weissbach, Matteo Costantini, Gustav Karlsson, Jake Richard, Joel Berndtsson, Stiven Sardaryan, Viljami Marjala, William von Barnekow, Jakub Konecny, Brett Murray, Vasili Glotov
  • Defensemen: Oskari Laaksonen, Vsemolod Komarov, Albert Lyckasen, Philip Nyberg

I have Novikov still by a hair over Neuchev and Nadeau and Kozak and Bloom.

Yeah, I'm giving Novikov the nod here because of the success at higher levels of competition at this point. Lots of prospects with real NHL upside left, but he's the only one with a track record in what's probably the 2nd or 3rd best hockey league in the world.

Looks like Neuchy is going to take this one and I think I might have to place Kozak over Nadeau next round. It's not just based on one preseason game. Looks like he brings more and isn't far away. Still rooting for Naddy Ice though.

Curious what you see his ceiling at. To me, I think there are a bunch of guys on the list with higher ceilings which is hard to ignore.
Not speaking for @debaser66 but I can see him as a really good 3rd liner. Not sure if he has the offense for top 6 but can pop in a goal when you need one and works hard.

You never know sometimes guys just put together their O game as they mature. It's not always about silky hands, if you are a good skater, have a good shot, know where to be and willing to get there, you can probably carve out a solid middle six or even top line glue spot. Can't have too many guys like that on your team.

13 deep is how I see it.
13 prospects that have a really good chance at making the NHL . Either here or on another team.
That's a great problem to have.
