Personally hoping the Preds take a d-man this year since last year we drafted two forwards in the 1st Round, but I wouldn’t be too upset if we took another forward to hopefully develop into something. Good mock 👍
If that’s how the draft played out up until the Preds pick, who would you change it to?

Out of the currently available ones, I really like Korchinski, but our right side isn’t the greatest, Carrier has been a huge addition when I thought at best he was gonna be a 7th d-man, but just in case I would really want a right handed guy. I would go with Luneau, but I would be happy with any right handed D-man available.

Wings need a center, we have more than enough skilled wingers in the organization. Not a chance they take Yurov.

Never draft for need. That’s how you get shitty reaches that don’t pan out. You take BPA. Now if Yurov is the best player available you can debate.

Nope, we have such a void in the organization at the Center ice position. Need a Center this year.

We went BPA in 2018 instead of a positional need. Quinn Hughes would look pretty damn good in Detroit right now, while Zadina is in "bust" territory.

selecting top 10 there is too much separation to draft for position but based on this mock if Geekie is there its a no brainer.

I would love hughes as it is, but as I understand we were looking at Bouchard or dobson before z fell. So I think the hughes narrative is hindsight/ wishful thinking unfortunately.

Obviously we need a top line center desperately, but where we are likely to draft do the prospects project as top line centers, if centers at all at the nhl level? Geekie does but I don't love him. I would much rather take a line driving wing if we feel he is the BPA.

My point still remains valid had we taken Bouchard or Dobson. Both are far better players than Zadina.

I'm ok with either Nemec or Jiricek for the Devils. Slafkovsky would be nice and also ok if Cooley dropped (doubtful that actually happens).

Wouldn't be surprised if Lambert doesn't make it past the Isles......but I'd welcome him on Dallas, for sure.

They're pretty solid at picking good Finns.
