Dick move IMO for them to wait until now

If he wasn't in plans they should have let him and his agent seek out deal ahead of draft and thru offseason

Updated medical has him on track to throw next month. They held onto him while Lance did off season team workouts so that they could see how he was doin f before moving off Jimmy just in case.

I don’t see SF locking themselves into Jimmy’s $27 mill this season. It becomes fully guaranteed once he’s on the 53 man roster for the first game of the season.

As for where he might land? Hard to say. I would not give up a day 1 or 2 asset for him. Round 4 or later is fine.

Whoever gets Jimmy G will get a steal, especially at what the cost will be.

Does he dazzle you? Nope.

But what he does is win, 31-14 in SF as a starter, a SB appearance and NFC title game in 3 seasons. Whether he can take you all the way is yet to be seen
