With the 6th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft the Carolina Panthers select:

Charles Cross OT, Mississippi State University.

The Panthers desperately for years have a had a poor offensive line, so this is a much need position to address.

Alright, time for me to take shit over here. I have 4 of the next 5 picks, and 2 picks here for the Eagles, one of the many reasons I wanted to get them this year.

15th overall, the Eagles select OLB Nakobe Dean from Georgia. The Bulldogs defense was other-worldly, and while the Eagles have not drafted a true linebacker since 1979, they have been devoid of the position for years and are going to have to select a day-1 starter. Dean's range is off the charts. He seems to be getting lower than this, but he is Butkus Award winner and I have him as a top-half of round 1 pick, maybe top 10 and should be a must-draft, easy pick here (even though they probably won't do it). I think a reason he is getting drafted later is because he is a WILL and sub-in, but I just don't see it that way, and even if he is that, it will pay off. This is someone I see going to multiple pro-bowls

16th overall, DE George Karlaftis from Purdue. The Eagles are required to upgrade their pass rush, already having done so with signing Hassan Reddick, they will have to further invest in the position as they saw it fit to bring back Derek Barnett, who has valid claim to being the dumbest player in the league. Karlaftis has explosive potential who if not for this being a heavy top-end pass rush draft, would be a top 10 pick in most drafts given the premium put on them.

18th overall, the New Orleans Saints select OT Daniel Faalele from Minnesota. Losing Terron Armstead is not a blindside, they were prepared for it and are likely prepared to take a tackle in round 1. Probably not thrilled with how the board has shaken out so far, but luckily they're great at coaching up offensive linemen, and will have no problem flipping Ryan Ramczyk over to LT and slotting in a new RT. Even if there is more work needed, they have James Hurst at the ready as well.

19th overall brings up back to the Eagles, who will select WR Jameson Williams from Alabama via Ohio State. This would make 3 years in a row that the Eagles would take a receiver in round 1, but Jalen Reagor has been such a disaster that he will go down as one of the all-time draft blunders given he was inexplicably taken one spot ahead of Justin Jefferson. The Eagles are unlikely to be concerned about Williams' torn ACL as they have taken players with serious injuries in the 2nd round in the recent past.

With the 20th pick the Pittsburgh Steelers select Kenny Pickett, QB, from the University of Pittsburgh. The Steelers pick their QB of the future right next door. There were a couple of players that I was interested in but were picked before my selection. Some mocks have him selected in top 10 so I'm pleased to see him drop here.
