This may be premature but looking at the 2022 memorial cup. With last seasons Memorial cup cancelled out west and ontario slated to host in 21 it goes back to the Q in 22. Who in the Q would possibly look at hosting?

Saint John has openly said they would love to host the Mem Cup in '22 and they should be very competitive for '22 and '23. Never hosted before.

Quebec also wants to host in '22 but I'd give it to Saint John. They never hosted the event.

Cape Breton's new owner has shown interest.

These are pretty much just 7 teams that are able to host, and with only Saint John and Cape Breton the only two to not host before it will likely be one of those two.

The new Gatineau ice arena capacity will be 4,000 seats. I can't see the CHL accepting such a limitation in ticket sales & merchandise buying & advertising revenue-generating crowd size.
