Schenn's Leaf Prospect Rankings. Kokkonen was added with 3 votes (tie goes to my decision).

Here are the rules:

1. Each poll will be open for 24 hours.

2. As we never have a consensus way as to which players are still considered prospects, we'll be using my way of cutting off prospects. The player must be U24 and have less than 50 GP in the NHL. A Prospect MUST be connected to the Leafs, AHL contracts or PTO's don't count.

3. I will start the poll with 10 of the most consensus guys I've seen on the Marlies/Draft boards. I will list the players on the docket (and their most recent season stats) as well as guys that have the ability to be added. Vote on who to be added next or I'll choose myself.

4. When there is a tie, we will do a tie-breaker. The loser of the tie-breaker does not immediately go into the place below (eg: If we tie on prospect #13, the winner is 13 and the loser goes back onto the docket).

5. We will be going to 30 like we did last year.

Niemela, add Voit.

I'll be gone for the weekend, so the next poll is likely to start Sunday night or Monday morning/daytime.

Holy f*** is it annoying that now the OP absorbs my second post.

I'm shocked you guys have Moldenhauer so high. I straight up didn't even have him as the 2nd best prospect that came out of the draft. The guy has played like 40 games at a respectable level, and although he crushed those games we have no idea where he's even playing next year. Not to mention he's got some serious flaws in his profile that need to be ironed out. Top-20 prospect? Sure. Borderline top-10? Uhh?

Voit is barely a year older than him and he just came off an awesome season in a much better league with virtually nobody on the team to help him. Abramov, Lisowsky, Kral, Miettinen, Ovchinnikov, and VIllenueve all are arguably better prospects and I'm not sure you'd have to go very far to prove it.

Well you're really not going to like where I have him personally lol. I definitely have him in my top 10 but I'm probably also lower on a lot of the guys you mentioned.

He lost a lot of weight from an illness during camp, then had the skate cut to his jaw so I think some people are taking that into consideration. But even with those setbacks, the stats I've seen are pretty fantastic. His production was mostly primary points at even strength and I see a lot of upside in him.

Went with Niemela but really wanted to vote Amirov and hopefully that can be true again this year.

Topi who has a chance to control the game from back there.
Though he could eat a steak or two.
Close with NickRob.

Robertson should have been #1.
2 for me. Niemela's production in Liiga for a U20 defenseman playing top-4 (basically top-pair) unsheltered minutes and positive relative to his team is slightly more impressive than Robby being PPG in the AHL.

Both a clear step ahead of Knies for me, but he's in the same tier so I'm not upset about it.

Haha true. Don't get me wrong I see the upside, but that's all it is at this point. I had him ranked 90th for a reason. He's quite literally SDA 2.0, but SDA played in a much better league his draft year and had about 80 more GP in a respectable league. I'm just hoping he trends better than SDA did and it can start by actually using his above average shot once and a while.

To me Robby's 18yr old production is still the most impressive, and 47gl/82pt pace at 20 in the AHL is not far behind. And i think Topi's size is a bigger impediment on D than Nick's is at F. And euro dman production is always iffy to me what with the huge importance of PP time and tactics, especially in a 2nd tier euro league like Finland.

Knies is right there but i hope to see a jump in production this year.

Robertson .. His production in the AHL is good for someone that young. 21 goals and 44 points in 49 games.

At the same age his brother put up 25 games and 47 points in 60 games in his only AHL season before making the NHL. He's taken off since

Not that Nick will be Jason, but there are similarities in production.
