It's a good move for Lutz...he needs to up his production and this should help him gain confidence and progress his future by playing against his peers. Hopefully big season coming.

This is a very good thing for Lutz based only what I saw at the rookie tourney. Kid was positionally abysmal. Never were he needed to be to support his teammates. He runs around a ton and really needs to simplify and play a more North/South game. I think the USHL will be perfect for him. He’s a winger. It should be easy to be a winger. He makes it too hard. I’m glad he’s going to be on the smaller ice, learning the North American game. He’s got skill, he’s got grit, and he’s got tools. I think if he can just reel it in a little, we could when a nice player on our hands.

I hope he gets more playing time than last year in the DEL.
Of course he needs time to cook, but also more time on ice per game to be better.
