Surprising pick given the guys left on the board. Not a bad pick pick per se but a bit out of left field. We'll see, got some size and decent numbers in the swedish junior league. Wonder how his skating is.

Never a fan of these off the board picks. Have rarely seen these ever workout. It's one thing if it's an older player with good numbers but these types I don't know. We are just about to let go Vejdemo so maybe his replacement.

If he can skate, seems like a solid pick to me? Big D, solid defensively and the offensive toolkit still developing without being a blackhole.

Wasn't even ranked by anyone except RECRUIT who had him 158th. Wonder if this is another Romanov situation where they liked him at our combine and felt another team was going to get him before our next pick.

They said on Sportsnet that he was the biggest riser in the European skater rankings from the mid season ranking to the final European ranking. He went from being ranked the 81st best European skater for the mid season ranking to 38th for the final European skater ranking.

Just as an example, Romanov was a out of left field pick that most were disappointed with. Then he won WJC best Dman.

Jarmo takes Jordan Dumais a few picks later. The Fin take the Québec guy, and our geniuses follow Rockstrom once again over our two impotent Qubec scouts, Audette and Boisvert.

Bergevin or HuGo, the same thing, Cedric Guindon, the late rounds guy from Québec to shut up the journalists. The guy to pick was Dumais. You won't hit a Joshua Roy every year at #150.

Guindon is ontarian, and scored 30 goals after missing the whole 20-21 season. Lots to like there for a late 4th.

So he has virtually the same numbers as Calle Odelius, but had a more productive playoffs. Does anyone know what his best assets are?
