So:

Best Goalie: Gaudreau, Canada
Best D: Heimosalmi, Finland
Best F: Michkov, Russia

All-Star Team

Berard, Michkov, Tuomaala

Heimosalmi, Clarke

Ivanov

So the best goalie didn't make the All-Star team.

Very good tournament.

Few points for me
- Clarke is in the discussion for best D of this class. For me it's between him and Hughes, Power really not far behind.
- Othmann, McTavish and Stankoven were the best forwards except the two phenoms and should see them rise in rankings, but McTavish looks dumb and needs to keep that passion in check in big moments, way to many penalities. On the other hand Gunther was OK for me but nothing more.
- Really liked Lysell for the Swedes, his offensive potential was on display. Outside of the top 10 is a steal IMO. Rosen was good too.
- I liked Heimosalmi and Ozolins as good moving Ds for Finland and Latvia.
- Wished we could of see more of the US team but I really liked Duke.
- Gaudreau was REALLY good for a goalie that didn't play all year. Just solid.

And the 2022-23 phenoms, there's nothing to say really just wow. Special players. Michkov was awesome too and Lambert is a beauty.

Well, that's it for me.

Good tournament. There is some talent in this draft.

I can see McTavish, Othmann, Heimosalmi, Tuomaala and Rosen in particular rising on scout's lists.

Hope y'all liked my commentary.
Thanks for keeping us well informed throughout the tournament! I couldn’t watch most of the games so it was great having your commentary, felt like I was there lol

Watch Pens crash again in 2 years and draft Bedard. f***ers.

It's our time. Hope we start selling this summer.

Tatar, Danault, Armia, Perry, Staal, UFA out
Drouin, Chiarot, Edmundson, Price (retain) trade out

Anderson, Toffoli trade at the deadline next year for big 2022/2023 draft picks.

Keeping Gallagher and Weber(mostly untradable anyway) for leadership.

The team would just be too young to compete for next year and 2022.
After the 2023 draft, go shopping. Reset done. Suzuki KK Caufield Romanov Guhle are still young. Add one of Wright/Lambert/Savoie, One of Bedard/Michkov, + 2 more 1st rounder at least. +3/4 more 2nd rounders. Norlinder, Poehling, Ylonen, Mysak, Tuch, hopefully, we can find 2-3 NHL players there.

Draft Wallstedt this year if we can, get the position out of the way.

Yup. If Wallstedt is there I would definitely take him. Don't see him lasting that long. Cossa seems to be rising quickly but don't know anything about him.

Agree though. Next 2 years are the time to rebuild.

It's a nice dream I guess but of course will never happen.

He missed 2 games due to injury, and part of another.

Yes I knew that but it only enhanced his status as top forward in my estimation. Besides which the tournament only starts in earnest in the quarter finals. Did anyone else have better numbers or make more of an impact on the outcomes at forward? I think not.
