I hope we do line up against a Canadian team in the semifinal. Any of those teams would be a better matchup than Tampa/Carolina/Boston/NYI/etc in the East or Central divisions.

Based on the standings, I dont think it's possible for us to play Carolina, Florida, or Toronto in the 3rd round if we make it there.

Don't think this is possible, because Toronto has a better record than all teams in the East (same points, RW and ROW as Pitt, but one better on goal diff)..

The Florida series is going to be amazing. I think whichever teams wins that series wins the Central.

The East is probably the most interesting. I genuinely have no idea who will win that division, and I wouldn't be shocked if any of the four made it to the cup final where they lose to us.

How the eff did I just realise that Weeger has 36 points in 54 games? That is a 55 point pace for a full 82 game season for a defender who was notorious for being a solid shutdown defenceman. Girard for example would have the same point pace as well.

I’m looking forward to the North series, and the Florida series. I think Winnipeg stands a better chance than most give them and the Toronto series probably won’t last long but will be entertaining... not sure what happens in the Florida series but should be highly entertaining.

Maybe. Their defense is just horrible though and that's the one thing that plays to McDrai's strengths. Obviously.

Yeah, I could be way off base and it’s kinda just my darkhorse prediction... reason being I think hellybuck is able to outplay smith over the course of the series and Winnipeg has more scoring depth. McDrai is gonna feast but if Winnipeg stays out of the box they should put up a good fight.

I just have a feeling that Montreal/Toronto is going to be an upset. I have very little to back that up besides my gut, but it would be classic Leafs to choke in the first round after sky-high expectations are set in the regular season.

Montreal just isn’t a good team... I’d be shocked if they won that series. The Leafs have too much star power to not beat them. Unless Price magically becomes 25 again.
