This will not happen. His development has hit a wall.
This is just way early take, especially after weird pre-season and 1 regular season game.

It's quite obvious that he focused heavily on strenght training and his legs still feels kinda stiff. Also he's in the best place right now, surrounded by elite coaching and elite players. Playing on a same team with ex-supertalent Puljujärvi and NHL-veteran Jokinen, i'm sure they'll give him good advices and mentoring.

Anything changing much in the rankings? I know it’s an odd season with a lot of the junior guys not playing yet, but maybe some Europeans will rise early on?

Looking at Pronoman's ranking, there are a ton of Russians. So far, this looks like he has a bias for leagues that have already started. So yes, Europeans are rising early on

I know traditionally form his hockey prospectus days that he doesn't hold Dmen as high as forwards but how in the world is Brandt Clarke not in the top 10.

Reason given was skating and defense. I don’t agree, but that’s the knock on him right now from those who knock him.

I love some of the defensive talent in this draft, but this draft is really lacking elite talent at the top. Will be fascinating to see how the number 1 pick race plays out.

Not having Clarke in the top 10 is a huge miss. He's my favorite to overtake Power for top D in this class. Furthermore, this draft is the most underhyped draft I've ever experienced, even though it has a ridiculously stacked first round. I'm liking the level of skill that will be available in the 20s this draft more than in the teens this past draft. I really don't get it.

Brandt Clarke is a top 3 in the draft as of right now. That is a glaring omission on the posted list.

Between him and Owen Power at #1 for me right now.

Not as good of a draft for forwards as this previous one.

2022 looks a lot stronger at the top as well for forwards, and 2023 should be really strong at the top as well if Michkov and Bedard keep up their pace and development curve.

Some excellent D men in this draft though.

This is just a ranking of the top scorers, though. Not necessarily the best Finnish prospects for 2021, correct?

You really gotta take these national writers with a grain of salt. The more broad their scope, the less granular they tend to be on analysis.
