Seems like he was pretty beat up by that point.Deebo 1 touch in the 4th quarter?

lmao.. Some guy outside in my neighborhood was yelling about the Seahawks. I wish I recorded it.
Except that Stafford obviously is - and always has been - a tip-top star player. The Detroit Lions had the answer behind center for 10+ years and still never could put any other part of the puzzle together.
When you are down in the second half you’re throwing the ball a lot. If there is a deeper dive into his stats we’d see how many he put down x number of scores in the 4th. Just the way it goes for bad teams. Get down early and rally late when the opposition is playing soft and trying to run out the clock. He's the fastest QB to many passing stats for a reason. Having Megatron was a big help but as you said, there was never much of a team around him.
20k, 30k, 40k, 50k etc.
calling 3 straight throws in the super bowl after that Julio Jones catch is one of the worst, if not the worst coaching mistakes in history when they were leading by 8 with 4 minutes left.
I agree. They took 2 holding calls on that series of plays once they got to the 22. Main goal is to get into FG range for a sub 40 yard try. With 4 minutes to go running the ball ensures 2 minutes comes off or it forces NE to burn all their TO to conserve that 120 seconds of game clock between snaps.I cannot believe they did that, at that time in the game. Yah Matt Ryan arm got you to that point but clock management was crucial, running the ball would’ve killed the clock and set up another TD and/or FG. So on 1st and 20 from the 32 have to think runs or short dump offs to get 3/4 yards. No first down needed but needed to make it more of a makable FG attempt.
FG would’ve sealed the deal.
LOL what? Why?

That's certainly some of it. There's SO much talk about the Niners. Like a very disproportionate amount. And basically every "expert" picked them. Based on what exactly? The Rams have more talent, the Rams have more depth, the Rams have the far better QB, and the Rams had the better overall team.Yeah, going 1-2 head to head this season sure proves that.
I don’t where Bay Area sports touched you, but they definitely left a mark.
George Kittle and Trent Williams are all pros at their positions. That's certainly some of it. There's SO much talk about the Niners. Like a very disproportionate amount. Yet everyone can't stop talking about a Niners team that was extremely pedestrian all year. Jimmy G is terrible, plain and simple. Their RBs are all banged up, Deebo is the only guy who really jumps off the page, and he was pretty dinged up as well. In the beginning of the year it was article after article about what's wrong with the Niners, what's Shanagan doing, etc. Then they squeak into the playoffs and get a couple lucky wins and suddenly they're super bowl favorites? The narrative was annoying. They're a great D, mediocre offense, and they have a very bad QB (by playoff standards) leading them.
Jimmy is a good QB when he works the middle of the field. If he has to move a bit in the pocket, for him to go out wide he needs his feet set cause he doesn’t have the arm to get it out there. Ramsey had a shot at a pick on SF’s second last possession in the 4th and should have gotten it. Majority of Jimmy’s mistakes are either him on the move going wide or have to move in the pocket and then trying to hit his guy on the sidelines.George Kittle and Trent Williams are all pros at their positions.
49ers win on the strength of dominating the LOS on both sides and limiting turnovers when they have the ball. Jimmy is what he is, but he didn’t just go along for the ride like some imply. There’s a reason literally no other qb on the roster has made the team look competent in the last 8 years that wasn’t named Jimmy G.
As for the narrative, beating a team 6 consecutive times will do that. Add the fact this area always gets extremely 49ers hyped when they’re good. I can see how that can annoy fans of other teams.
He’s prone, but the difference between him and guys like Mullins is that he’d throw 3-4 picks in a game. Having a guy that only does 1 a game gives this team a legit shot in every game.Jimmy is a good QB when he works the middle of the field. he hit Aiyuk with a deep shot in the 2nd to setup a score. Just seems like he’ll always give the opposition a legit shot at a Pick.
Because writers should hold themselves to the same standards they want Jeff Garcia held to, especially when they actually say things that are offensive. Just because the quality of their product sucks in your eyes doesn’t give them free reign to make up racist and hurtful bullshit.Deadspin has sucked since all of their good writers bailed for Defector. Who gives a shit.
