Last year's rankings for comparisons (and what I'm referencing for "change of last year"): Prospect Info: - 2020 Los Angeles Kings Prospect Rankings #40

Here are the rules I'll be following:

- I won't vote unless it's a tie breaker. So there should never be an "overtime" or tie to keep this going.
- the crieteria for prospects is straightforward: they have to be eligible to win the calder, and the Kings must own the player's rights, whether it's through the draft or an SPC (so AHL-only contracts don't count, but a player like Tkachev counts, since he is Calder-eligible)
- feel free to make a nomination after voting. Again, in the event of a tie, I'll be the tie breaker.
- use whatever criteria you wish for the next best available. Raw skill? Upside? NHL readiness? Progress since drafted? Astrological Sign?

I'll always list the candidates in alphabetical order. By default, I'm setting the timer at 24 hours, as I hope to go through the entire list. If it seems like a landslide, I'll call it early.

List of eligible players to be nominated:
Brayden Burke, F
Alexander Dergachyev, F
Braden Doyle, D
Juho Markkanen, G
Ben Meehan, D
Markus Phillips, D
Bulat Shafigullin, F
Johan Sodergran, F
Matthew Villalta, G

IMO the remaining two Russians will never come over and play. A few years ago this would be concerning wasting 3rd round picks, but LA has many more options now. Neither will get a vote from me.

I'm giving some love to Strand, was genuinely surprised at how well he did at the NHL level when he got called up and especially for being an updrafted free agent. Don't know what his future will look like, but if the injuries start to pile up I'd feel fine putting him out there

I absolutely don't know how Durzi isn't ranked in our top ten. Truly astonishing. I like Simontaival a bunch and see him as a can't miss bottom 6 NHLer with upside but Durzi is a 2nd paint steady D who has serious O skills. I mean I know he may not fit into our line up due to an embarrassment of riches on D but it doesn't change the fact that he belongs there. He is ranked way too low.

I just personally haven't seen him take much of a step forward and much like Clague there's still time but it's running out.

He's a likeable guy but with RHDs with similar skillsets in Grans coming over and Clarke coming up, he's going to have to create some value for himself. Thus far, he's what I used to accuse Clauge of being--not good enough offensively to make up for spotty defense. But again, last couple of years have been goofy, eager to see what he's got in store
