1. Each poll will be open for 24 hours.

2. As we never have a consensus way as to which players are still considered prospects, we'll be using my way (at least for the first few polls). The player must be U24 and have less than 50 GP in the NHL. The "prospects" that are left off because of these rules are Joey Anderson, Brennan Menell, Adam Brooks, Joseph Duszak, Vladimir Bobylev, and Nickolai Chebykin. The player also must be either drafted by the team, or signed to an ELC to be considered a prospect. This leaves off a player like Keith Petruzzelli.

Rankings:
1. Rasmus Sandin - 53.2%
2. Nick Robertson - 50.9%
3. Timothy Liljegren - 56.9%
4. Rodion Amirov - 90.6%
5. Topi Niemela - 62.1%
6. Matthew Knies - 45.4%

8. Mikhail Abramov - 47.5%
9. Mikko Kokkonen - 44.7%
10. Veeti Miettinen - 49.4%
11. Nick Abruzzese - 40.2%
12. Pontus Holmberg - 27.2% (tiebreaker - 57.1%)
13. Dmitri Ovchinnikov - 27.2% (tiebreaker - 42.9%)
14. Semyon Der-Arguchintsev - 29.6% (tiebreaker - 53.8%)

Kizimov again.

Kinda confused why Miller got so popular all of a sudden. Staying in the USHL in your D+2 hasn't proven to be great for development, and even if we did find the one guy that looks good taking this route (Abruzzese), it's hard to imagine it's going to work out as well again. Schingoethe and Fusco are at least playing in the NCAA this year. Miller has to have a crazy season to top basically anything either one of those two do and even then there might be an asterisk because he plays on the best team in the USHL.

Counting Abbruzzese's before they hatch is the only reason I can think of

I agree with Miller, but I would say that playing in the USHL as a D+2 is probably better than a Russian playing in the VHL as a D+4; especially when his KHL team is a middle-of-the-pack team from the East without a ton of high quality forward depth. Also keep in mind that Miller is very young and undersized for his age, and is planning on going to Minnesota, which would be a tough squad for him to crack and get ice time (just based on the number of bodies; never mind the talent). There is still hope for Miller, but he does need a PPG+ season this year to get back into a position where he is seriously talked about as a prospect. Plus he needs to follow that up with a really strong NCAA career. Pretty much needs to emulate Abruzzese, which is going to be tough for him to do.

Also remember that Fusco played USHL as a D+2 as well, and he wasn't that great. That wasn't exactly his choice considering Harvard shut down and he either had to transfer or play USHL, but at least he can get a PPG as a D+2 offensive defenseman in the USHL. He barely scraped a 0.5 PPG, which would have been iffy even if he was first time eligible. That was a really confusing pick to me at the time, and it is not looking any better right now.

Personally, I voted Schingoethe again. He is the most likely to amount to something given he is more of a defensive specialist center, and I think he has a lot more to offer offensively than he showed last year. Western Michigan is not the best school, but he is playing in a good conference at least and should get plenty of early opportunities. I still hope he can follow the Kuraly route and maybe even make a bid for the U20 team this year.

This is unrelated to the Leafs' prospects specifically, but undrafted undersized forward Trevor Wong was just traded to Saskatoon for Colton Dach, who was just a late 2nd round pick in this NHL draft. Dach requested a trade, which is why he probably got a little bit less value than he could have got otherwise, but Saskatoon said they were not moving Dach until they got a guy who was the same age and as good, or better, than Dach.

Wong will definitely be one to watch for next year.

I personally have Schingoethe above Miller, and Fusco behind. I'm just surprised Miller got a bunch of love when he clearly needs the biggest season of the 3 to stay relevant. The other two you'd understand as they're rookies in the NCAA this season.

As for Kizimov I've watched some games of his over the years and I've always liked what he's brought. He never really had a chance with Lada as the most ice-time he ever had was ~15 minutes a game and he actually produced some in those minutes. Now that he's with a new team playing 1st line minutes he's almost PPG this season. He's one of those guys I honestly think would be thought of more with the opportunity. He's still young, but the time is running out.

Because it's a 3 way tie I think I'm gonna just end it here with the tiebreaker.

1st gets 28.
2nd gets 29.
3rd gets 30.

If anyone vehemently objects I'll think about it, but its not like we're exactly in prime real estate with who's left so I can't see it mattering.
