Formula E probably draws most of its viewers due to it being more or less the graveyard of former F1 drivers. It's fine for now but I don't think that's what they want in the long term.

Long term there's no space for both Formula E and F1 anyway. Either F1 goes electric or Formula E replaces it.

I can't get into Formula E. The sounds weirded me out and there was like... spots you could detour over to get an energy boost...it's not damn Mario Kart!

Also. Happy for Romain. Totally understand skipping ovals. Especially now.

Formula E is just too slow on slow street circuits which makes all the wheel to wheel racing and "crashes" really naff. I get that they need lots of braking zones to keep the batteries charged and whatnot but it would be more interesting if they raced on proper circuits. I remember trying to watch it at Monaco once and it was basically just Saint-Devote with a tight hairpin then straight back into the swimming pool section, skipping out the Casino and the tunnel part. I don't mind watching slower cars because I enjoy the F2 and F3 and will likely watch as much of the W series as I can next year, they at least race on the full tracks.

Only one year too. Looking forward to all the fake created drama next offseason with both Bottas and Hamilton without a contract and Russell lingering.

Now. Let's see some new liveries and get racing.

Alonso has apparently been injured in a cycling accident. No confirmed injuries but speculation that he's sustained some fractures.

As long as they're simple fractures and more in the 4-6 week recovery time range he should be fairly okay for the start of the season...though it's going to be real close.

Apparently was hit by a car and suffered facial injuries including a fractured jaw and damaged teeth, I don't think he's about to wear a racing helmet anytime soon.

Who would even replace Alonso if he had to miss some time, Hulkenberg? I'm not sure which of their junior drivers have the super license points needed but I'd assume Piastri at least, but that'd be beyond stupid. Realistically 2022 is Zhou's last chance to get a seat in F1 (although highly unlikely) so he needs a full F2 season to fight for the title, plus I don't think he'd get the license anyway. Is Sirotkin still their reserve?

There were rumours that Aston Martin was trying to get Hulkenberg signed as a reserve driver full time. Wonder if it's possible that got done and could stop Hulkenberg from being a viable option.

Though maybe that's a deal that would have been announced had it got done.

AlphaTauri rolled out the new livery.

It's solid but I've seen mockups of the colours reversed and now I want that.

March 19 date for Drive to Survive Season 3.

Alfa Romeo launched the new car and much like Alpha Tauri...they seemingly reversed colours from last year. I'm into it though.

Probably more of a coincidence, related to the intensified clashes around the oil-rich city of Ma'rib in Yemen.

I really like the color scheme on the Alpine car but can't help but feel that's a lot of wasted potential. Could've done so much better with the red.

Actually now that I think of it maybe it would've looked better without the red at all on the back.

Kvyat also joins Alpine as a reserve driver.
