Not really interested in the voting aspect of these games. There's just too much depth that goes into the logic of 'grading' these teams. And in the end, most people tend to be drawn to the teams with 'name value'.

I know I'm going to do poorly in the voting because I drafted Matt Duchene and Jeff Skinner; two players who came off of their career worst performances. The idea is that these players could rebound in better situations. I also have a few guys who had great statistical seasons like Cody Ceci and Mike Smith, but neither are likely to get any respect in the voting because they aren't prominent players at their respective position.

I drafted with a heavy stats focus and built the roster with player fit heavily in mind. That's the fun part for me. The voting won't take much of it into account.

I have Ottawa in the playoffs :thumbu:

I also dislike this format, we should've done a bracket format, I wasn't thinking

Agree with this. The only thing I would add is that in the first 3-4 rounds I try to get BPA and then determine who would be best to put on the lines/pairings for those players.

Honestly you having Duchene + Skinner team didn't really negatively affect you in my rankings.

My one issue was with your overall defense, but your top-9 as a whole (particularly the top line) was sick.

Bracket could've been interesting, but you would've had to add a 32nd team to even out the matchups. Determining who should play who is another significant hurdle. Maybe next time though.

Yeah. I like the whole line building, team identity building aspect. And of course sniping.

Ranking the teams doesn't do anything for me. If there were a good way to do that we wouldn't need to watch the games.
