I love Lindgren but he really has next to zero offensive skill, his only redeeming quality offensively is that he’s a decent skater

Yeah and the thing is, even when guys like Girardi and Staal were hitting 25-30 points, that was when they were playing tons of PP minutes.

In 2011 when Staal and Girardi combined for 60 points, they both were getting well over 2 minutes a game on the man advantage and 25 minutes a night on average. Lindgren is never going to hit those numbers because we've done a better job this time around at building a deep blue line with well defined roles.

In 2009-2010 Staal and Girardi both hit around 25 ES points, but that was probably their best effort.

Kravtsov with more points than Lafreniere would be one of the greatest shockers I've seen.

4th in Metro despite scoring that many goals while giving up far less? Those are first place stats in the Division and likely the Conference if not the whole league lol.

Hunt will be on this team as a NHL player as a 13th forward, he plays at least 40 games here and steps in for injuries rest and grit to the lineup. No way Rooney plays only 19 games. Jones makes the team out of camp. Same with Lundkvist. Tinordi will be in Hartford.

The following players will score at least 20 goals:

Zibanejad
Panarin
Kreider
Kakko
Lafreniere
and one of Chytil/Kravtsov, but not both.

Strome will have 17 and Goodrow will have 12.

Fox and Miller will both have at least 10 goals.

It's a long shot, so you really should give me odds. But I don't know if you can do that on here, so whatever. I'll take your phony money bet.
I sent another one of 10K lol you don't need to take that one but yea I really doubt it. There is usually around 20-30 dmen who hit 10 goals per 82 game season. I don't see Miller getting much PP time, I'm sure we're going to only run 1 dman on the PP because of how many skilled forwards we need to get in there. I think Fox is the lone dman on PP1 and Lundkvist on PP2

edit: btw that's not phony money, it's a binding agreement that needs to be paid out through the SportsBook App

Breakout years for Lafreniere, Chytil, and Kakko

Zibanejad and Panarin both score 35 goals, 85 points.

Kravstov has an ok second year but nothing to write home about

Fox takes a small step back offensively, but still a top 20 defenseman in the league

Miller has a sophomore slump and a very vocal minority of HFNYR wants to trade him in the offseason.

Shesterkin is statistically a top 10 goalie in the league if he stays healthy

Sammy Blais and Dryden Hunt are surprise offensive contributors on the squad and the latter plays more games than most think after endearing himself to the new coach early.

Kreider puts up his usual inconsistently consistent 25 goal, 45 point season.

Lundkvist struggles initially but is playing PP2 minutes by the end of the year and flourishes in that role with a 25 point rookie season playing 60ish games.

Record: 44-31-7: 95 points, in the playoffs for the last wild card spot. Out in the first round via Tampa.

Miller had 5 goals last year in 53 games, all at even strength. He has managed to score goals at every level. In his draft year, he had 9 goals in 58 USDP games, and another 4 goals in 22 USHL games. At Wisconsin, he put up 5 in 26 and 7 in 36.

If he plays 80+ games, 10 goals isn't crazy, even without significant PP time.

Miller's numbers will be affected by Jones being or not being on the team.

I think the only way Jones is on the team is if Miller isn't. Lindgren isn't going anywhere and they signed Nemeth to fill the 3rd pair spot. They won't have Jones or Miller as the 7th dman, and Miller is the incumbent.

I suppose there's a chance that both could be on the team if Lundkvist shows that he isn't ready, but I don't expect that to happen.

GP includes games where they come in for someone else, look how bad Georgiev's stats are in my prediction. I am predicting Georgiev has a meltdown and Kinkaid replaces him as backup
I am hoping that Georgiev has a bounce-back year and we never play Kinkaid again.

I don't disagree but I think he'll accumulate points being effective defensively and playing with Fox.
Agreed. We don't need every defensemen to put up tons of points. His game is the perfect compliment to Fox's
