The absolute Mads-man was in rare form tonight - some huge saves on the OT PK. Elite.

I guess Flodell plays tomorrow against Hartford and then back with Sogaard for the must-win divisional game against Syracuse on Sunday.

So JBD hits the scoresheet again with an A which is nice to see but does anyone know if he has been scored on 5-5 yet?

Forget who posted it but that was a pretty incredible run he was on for a while, especially for the more frantic AHL.

I think there was a game last week where that streak ended

Roster Notes:

Troy Mann makes two changes to his lineup after Friday’s win. Defenceman Dillon Heatherington has been recalled back to Ottawa (NHL) and will be replaced by Xavier Bernard, while Logan Flodell will make his second career American Hockey League start in goal. Belleville’s scratches tonight include Chris Wilkie, Cedric Pare, Colby Williams (IR), Kevin Mandolese (IR), Lassi Thomson (IR) and Michael Del Zotto (IR).

Who to Watch:

After netting the game-winner last night, Roby Jarventie is now on a three-game point streak (two goals, one assist), while Sens captain Logan Shaw also has points in his last three games (one goal, two assists). Rourke Chartier has an assist in each of his last two games, with four points in his last five (one goal, three assists), and Scott Sabourin has points in back-to-back games after going pointless in five games since being returned from Ottawa.

Hartford doesn’t have any players on significant point streaks, but Anthony Greco has been their most consistent scorer, putting up 12 points in his last 10 games played (four goals, eight assists). Defenceman Zac Jones does have points in back-to-back games (two goals, one assist), with a goal and an assist in Laval last night, and seven shots on goal in Syracuse on Wednesday. Belleville native Abbott Girduckis is slated to dress for the Wolf Pack, making his fourth appearance of the season. The former Quinte Red Devil, Wellington Duke and Picton Pirate has one goal in three AHL games played so far.

Roster Notes:

The Senators will be without forward Rourke Chartier, who suffered a fracture to his hand, after blocking a shot in the first period last night. Belleville is also missing defender Lassi Thomson due to injury, as well as Michael Del Zotto, though Coach Troy Mann says he will likely return to the lineup on Wednesday in Laval. Belleville does get a bit of bolstering on the back-end though, as Dillon Heatherington has been returned from Ottawa (NHL) and will play tonight. Mads Sogaard is slated to get the start in goal tonight, with full lineup details available prior to puck drop.

Who to Watch:

There will be some focus on the Belleville blue line tonight, with a pair of defencemen reaching significant career milestones. Jonathan Aspirot, who also has points in back-to-back games (two goals), is playing in his 100th career American Hockey League contest. Fellow defender Jack Dougherty, who notched his 50th career AHL assist last night for his first point of the season, is playing in his 100th game as a Belleville Senator. Forward Cole Reinhardt snapped a four-game pointless streak last night with a goal and an assist and was named the game’s third star.

For Syracuse, forward Otto Somppi had a goal and an assist in the Crunch’s loss to Bridgeport last night, but he’s been hot of late, with seven points (two goals, five assists) in his last five games played. In the crease, goaltender Max Legace has a personal three-game win streak and six-game point streak. Another notable name on the Crunch roster, should he dress tonight, is Declan Carlile. The 21 year-old Michigan native is waiting to make his AHL debut, after signing an entry-level contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning this week. That comes after a season with the Wellington Dukes and three campaigns at Merrimack College.

BSens lead Syracuse 3-2 end of 2nd

Laval v Belleville tonight, game is on RDS

Roster Notes:

With the Ottawa Senators making a handful of moves at the NHL trade deadline, Belleville’s lineup has a couple of new faces. Forward Zach Senyshyn was acquired from the Boston Bruins and will join Belleville’s top line, while goaltender and former member of the Rocket, Michael McNiven, was picked up in a trade from the Flames. The Senators will also still be without forward Rourke Chartier for a few weeks after he broke his hand blocking a shot, while defenceman Lassi Thomson getting close to returning from injury, but not quite there yet. Goaltender Kevin Mandolese is also still out with a long-term injury and defenceman Michael Del Zotto was recalled to Ottawa on the weekend. However, Colby Williams will return on the blue line from his injury tonight and Mads Sogaard is slated to start in net. Belleville’s other scratches this evening include Xavier Bernard, Jack Dougherty and Chris Wilkie.

Who to Watch:

Newly-acquired forward Zach Senyshyn immediately becomes the Senators leading goal-scorer, upon joining the team, with 19 goals. The former Boston Bruins first round draft pick has notched 31 points so far this season, with Providence of the AHL, which puts him among Belleville’s top-five overall point-getters. Forward Clark Bishop is also coming off his best offensive output for Belleville, after scoring twice and adding an assist in the overtime loss to the Crunch on Sunday.

The Rocket have been paced by Rafael Harvey-Pinard, who has amassed 10 points (five goals, five assists) as part of a seven-game point streak. He’s also scored in five straight games. Jean-Sebastien Dea is riding a three-game point streak (one goal, two assists), as is Xavier Oullet, who has four assists over that span and nine points (one goal, eight assists) in his last eight games played.
