Al Murray on Flinton:
“Robert’s a big body, good skater, good skills, high school player in the eastern part of the United States. He’s going to go to UNH and similar to Nick Capone who we drafted last year and went to college, we expect that it’s going to take Robert a little time at school, but there’s no hurry and he’s got the attributes that we want. He competes, he works, he’s got some skill, he’s big, he skates well, and we'll see how that all comes together and just watch him go through his college years and try to help him with our development people and our camps over the next few summers and see what we have.”
Lightning amateur scout John Burkhardt :
“Big athletic kid. 6’3”, 200 lbs. Forward with some really good hands. Shoots the puck hard. Skating’s good. He just has to play at that next high level. Think of Killorn coming from Deer Field and having to play at that next level at Harvard. So this kid’s committed to Dartmouth right now, but he’s going to go to Cedar Rapids (USHL) before he goes to college. I think that’s going to be a huge step for him to get out there and show off his athletic ability and big frame.”

Clearing up the conflicting quotes above: Flinton is heading to Dartmouth - his father, Eric, played at UNH and scored 56 goals in his final three seasons in Durham (62 career). Dad was a gifted offensive forward, with good size, and the #1 pick in the '93 supplemental draft (Senators)...

Two NH born draft picks (Gagne, UNH), quite a haul!

Just completed his first season on a Dartmouth team that finished last in the ECAC.

Anything to see in terms of potential?

Sounds an awful lot like Princeton's Liam Gorman (Chicago prospect).
