It's not the amount of calories I'm having a problem with, it's the taking of something truly awesome all on it's own - a properly prepared plate of fries (chips, whatever) - and then jamming it needlessly between two slices of white bread. Why white bread? Why not just more delicious fries (chips, whatever)?

Given what Americans do with white bread, if you're from "fly over country" you have little grounds for complaint.

Though at least in America, ethnics are finally infiltrating the hinterlands (having in-laws in Western Michigan, I'm glad to report that after decades they finally broke down and started eating Mexican food, and they have some good Tex-Mex restaurants due to the farm workers who emigrated there b/c of the orchards, much like Kennent Square and the mushrooms).

London may have interesting food, but is the rest of the British Isles still a culinary wasteland?
The Scots are descended from barbarian Picts, but what's the excuse for the Welsh?

I feel like the munchy box in Glasgow is even more a statement of this. I'll let wikipedia do the work on this one:
The contents of a munchy box vary but may typically include kebab meat, fried chicken, pizza, chicken tikka, samosas, onion rings, chow mein noodles, pakora, naan bread, garlic bread, coleslaw, other fast foods and sauces such as curry sauce. There is sometimes a salad item and, invariably, chips or fried rice.

The energy content of sample munchy boxes has been reported as 1224, 2200 and 3000 calories while their salt content was estimated to be more than double the 6g daily recommended maximum for an adult. While it is not clear whether a munchy box is actually intended to be consumed as a meal for one, there has been concern at the health implications if it is consumed in this way.

That wiki article was written by a person that has never even seen a munchy box. Of course they are for one. What kind of madman shares that?

With Laczynski as the 13th forward, and Myers signed for 5 or 6 years at $3.75m, they would have $111,148 in cap space with a 23 man roster. That's as high as they could realistically go.

More likely Myers will be bridged for 2 or 3 years at $3m or less.

No Niskanen - Myers at 6 x 375m - CapFriendly - NHL Salary Caps
