Only players who are eligible for the 2021 Calder trophy. Calder eligibility is defined as:
- No older than 26 years old as of September 15th, 2020
- Has not played in more than 25 games in one season or more than 6 games in two consecutive seasons (making Cal Petersen, Carl Grundstrom, Sean Walker, and Matt Roy exempt)

We'll do this for as long as you all want, either you want to stop or we run out of options.

I sometimes get busy with work and other projects, so if someone else wants to take reigns/take over, feel free to! I'm setting the poll at 1 day. Please say if this is too short for a poll.

Don't forget to nominate who goes on next! Below are the list of eligible players.

Daniel Brickley
Alexander Dergachyov
Braden Doyle
Mikey Eyssimont
David Hrenak
Bokondji Imama
Aatu Jamsen
Andre Lee
Juho Markkanen
Markus Phillips
Drake Rymsha
Johan Sodergran

I’m torn between Durzi, Parik, and Laferriere. I think they should be the next three. I don’t see a huge difference between Durzi and Clague to be honest, but apparently they’re 8+ spots apart!

Tough call, but went Moverare. +17 was highest on Frolunda and he only had 3 less points than Fagemo. (in about 10 more games, though)
I also like the fact he called Lias and screamed, when he heard the deal for him. lol

Maybe the fact that Clague was a clear step better at each age and plain better? Clague was an A for team CAN and top 2 in TOI in the WJC. How did Durzi do at his WJCs? Clague won WHL defender of the year his last year while Durzi received how many OHL votes yet alone while being 21yrs old in the league? As an overage in the OHL Durzi put up 1.06ppg while a year younger Clague put up 1.32ppg in a tougher to score league than Durzi. At the same age in the same league on the same team Clague was an AHL all-star while Durzi was scratched more than once. Clague's AHL ppg including playing an extra year while Durzi was still in the OHL is 0.54 while Durzi put up 0.36PPG.

If you do not see a seriously significant or not just huge yet HUGE difference then not sure what to say....

Do we have too many prospects?

If it were up to me, I'd take half of our 2021 picks and trade them into 2022 & 2023 drafts. At a certain point, performing efficient and responsible asset management for about 40 guys that have a legit chance of making it becomes, well, silly. Bottom line, the less prospects an org. has, the greater the chance that each one of them has the best opportunity to succeed. That doesn't mean we should only have 3 or 4 total, but 30 or 40 is madness.

Remember when these message boards were attached to a prospect analysis page with rankings and such? Well, right about the time we selected Aulin from the Avalanche, one of the "weaknesses" of the Colorado prospect pool (and I remember this very, very well), was that the organization's prospects were "too deep". At the time, I thought that that was the dumbest thing ever proclaimed to be a "weakness" about a prospect pool. Well, twenty years later, guess what?

Of course we do. They're assets that become further players and picks likely as soon as this year.
