Oklahoma get a pass any time they win their power conference championship game and only have 1 loss.

Just like anyone else.

Oklahoma has beaten a 4 loss Auburn team in a recent sugar bowl, 4 loss UConn in the fiesta bowl, and a Florida team without its best player in the Cotton bowl.

Outside of the sugar bowl vs Bama, they have spit the bit when it matters most outside of that one national title outlier.
And that's still infinitely better than what Notre Dame has done over the last 25 years.

Put another way: at 9-2, OU fans will admit they're not national title contenders and might not even merit a New Year's Six slot, depending on what the rest of the standings look like. At 7-4 and on a 2-game win streak, ND fans crawl out of the woodwork everywhere and SWEAR TO GOD the team should get at least some consideration for the 4-seed in the playoff and should be guaranteed a NY6 bid otherwise.

Come on UNC. I don't want all the SEC homers to act like we needed to see the Aggies get blown out by Bama again.

A&M has been overrated as hell for a decade

Jimbo FINALLY wins a semi-important bowl game to justify his ridiculous Aggie contract

Big fan of Brock Purdy
Just announced he’s staying. I don’t know how much of the Iowa State team moves on but hope it’s not many of them. They’ll get another shot at the Big 12 title

What is Purdy's realistic chances of sticking in the NFL for a period of time?

List at 6'1 212 lbs. Not big, but that's no longer as big an issue now with mobility being more and more important. He's started over 30 games in college, so he has enough experience if he did want to go to the NFL. Never hurts to be more ready. NFL, barring you being a 1st round pick, if you don't perform when you get your opportunity, you won't be around long.

Been plenty of 2nd round picks and later who were on the roster for 2 years or more when given the chance to play, fall flat and do nothing.

He definitely has a realistic chance of being a good backup, which keeps you in the NFL for a long time if can get on the field and show you can run an offense. As a starter, next season may tell us a lot. If he entered the the draft this year, which is now very deep at the position, he'd be a 3rd day pick imo, so staying should help him. Things can change in a senior season. Nobody was talking about Joe Burrow this time 2 years ago. He'll have the experience, and Iowa State should still be good next year, he should be getting some prime time games and play under the lights a few times. The game in Norman will surely bring College Game Day to town, and to win the Big 12, they'll have to play them twice. Iowa is a strong rivalry game that they get at home.

To be a backup that sticks for a long time like a Daniels, McCoy, McCowen is to play well when you get your opportunity. Manage the game, don't make mistakes, be good in the film room. Can stick around a long time. Maybe, you don't make the $35 million and continuing that Daniels has done, but McCoy is around $19 million. Geno Smith who did get a run of starts with the Jets is at $9 mill.

So, good money, with very limited wear and tear to the body.

See how he performs as a Senior. Has a lot of experience already, so the expectations will be higher for him.

As I say, you can make a good living knowing coaches and reading playbooks.

not sure why anyone would go to the 11th best school over Clemson.

Probably a good choice. Seen many CB get drafted high from OSU the past several years, though some have not exactly panned out.

Conley, Hooker, Arnette, Okudah. Later 2 still rookies but first two haven’t lived up to expectations. All first rounders.
Lattimore has delivered. Wade likely a first as well.
