I went with Frost over Brink for 1st.

Brink's overall pure offense likely has the edge on Frost imo, but Frost has positional importance and scarcity in his corner, which tips the scale in his favor. Legit centers with skill are the white whale, and Frost is one.

I value both forwards a tick above our defensemen. I think both probably offer more upside, especially Brink. Although, a chance exists I'm selling Zamula short in that category. Big Z is still a developing animal, and one probably shouldn't put a ceiling on a kid like that quite yet.

what are your thoughts on York? I haven’t voted yet, but him frost and brink are my top 3 in some order and a class ahead of Z

My problem with Frost is if he's was an elite prospect, he'd be our 3C and pushing to be our 2C at 20, Barzal, et al.

The fact that he seems to be limited physically (i.e. hasn't developed strength and doesn't look to have the frame), and he doesn't show elite elusiveness (straight line speed is overrated, see Point) says he's one notch below that level, Neither his NHL or his AHL play screamed elite prospect.

So if Frost isn't going to be elite, but just probably very good, he's no longer above York, Zamula or Brink.
In which case D-men win all ties followed by centers and then wings.

@FLYguy3911 describes him as a "set it and forget it" top 4 defenseman. That's a great blurb that sums him up quickly.

I gave a brief description of York back in May that I'll just quote.
Stizzle said:
I think York probably makes better decisions with the puck while facing a hard forecheck. That's mostly why I have him ahead. It seems like York never puts his teammates, or himself, in bad spots. He has an unflappable quality about him.

Overall, I think he's a pretty no frills, smart kid that does everything and elevates the play of his teammates.

I only know one person who compared Frost to Barzal last summer.

Did you misclick on your vote? Ginning?
