Having watched last night's game I would have loved to see Sokolov given a shot with Peca and Abramov. I feel like he's not the player that drives a line but would really benefit from Peca's work and Abramov's playmaking.

Newly acquired Anton Forsberg starts in nets this afternoon at 3pm, against the Marlies again. Mando is the back-up. After sitting last night, Oliver LeBlanc and Colby Williams will join the B-Sens blueline today, while Hubert Labrie sits.

Would like to see Branny paired with Thomson.

How is Forsberg playing in AHL if we claimed him off waivers? Is it some kind of conditioning stint?

Mann, Peca and Mando post-game. The coach was obviously thrilled to have Peca and Branny in the line-up.

Lassi Thomson's young AHL career in 10 seconds: Turnover after a clean face off win, strong defensive play to get the puck back. If he can overcome those unforced errors he could become a strong two way player.

I know I'm probably being incepted by his jersey number, but Sokolov seems to play a similar physical game to Paul. Just dominating his opponents.
Sokolov looks like a really solid possession player. He protects the puck well, fights throw checks, is good at stealing pucks, is comfortable carrying the puck for a while to set something up and makes smart plays and clean passes. There is a lot to like in his game and he does have some similar traits to Nick Paul. Maybe they could play on a line together at some point.

Formenton gets the puck at the Bsens blueline with all five Marlies in front of him just takes the puck down the off wing and somehow ends up with everyone behind him when he gets to the net. Just looks so effortless.

Brannstrom feeds Sokolov in the slot and after a scramble in front of the net, Sokolov buries it.

1-1.

The Formenton goal will be changed to Peca, went off a Marlie rather than Formenton

I could see a Paul - Kastelic - Sokolov 4th line some day soon, they all have NHL size, Paul & Kastelic are both good in the faceoff circle & it might be the best 4th line the Sens have had in a while.

I'm more convinced than ever that Brannstrom needs to stay put in Belleville. He and Peca have made a big impact quickly as Belleville has strung two wins together for the first time this year.

If you're a Sens fan, Belleville is the team to follow as I predict they will have ever-increasing success through the end of the season. Ottawa not so much.

Now imagine what happens when Crookshank is activated; same for Novak if he signs. Could they also add Tychonick and even Guenette?

And then drop in the possibility of a strong return by L Brown. Imagine a rejuvenated Brown centering Formenton and Sokolov!

Call me a fairweather fan, but I'm a big booster of Belleville.

I keep reading implications that there is some bad injury news concerning Brown.

found it. Out for the foreseeable future.
