Yeah but you never know.

A year ago Ottawa was 1 game 7 OT goal away from final. The team hasn't changed that much since then. If they can deal with the off-ice issues, they can very easily be a top team again.

Carey Price - huge question mark after horrible season. I'm a biased Price fan so i won't try to talk him up too much but - as recently as 1-2 years ago people around the league still saw him in contention for one of the best players (not goalie - player) in the league. If he can play up to his potential, he's arguably as big a difference maker as there is in the NHL today as a goalie (most important position).

Buffalo - well yeah, they've sucked for so long. But they arguably have 2 of the top 3 best drafted players in the NHL in the past 6-8 seasons. Eiche/Dahlin are due to make a difference at some point - could be as early as this year.

I expect at least 1 team outside of Bos/Tor/Tampa/Fla to make a LOT of noise in the Atlantic this year.

And now, with Arizona off the board, I'm voting for the team I think least likely to fail horribly.

Voted Buffalo. 2 possible gamebreakers in Eichel and Dahlin. Great add with Jeff Skinner. Finally trying a new goalie, and ditched Lehner. And I have a weird belief in Bogosian and Girgensons. They could be a really good team is everything goes right, and I do mean everything.
