For me this is Winnipeg. I think most of the best teams are in the East, being what I think is the best team in the weaker conference is a pretty damn big advantage. I like the firepower of Winnipeg more than I like the brick wall in Nashville, albeit not by too much.

Winnipeg seems ready, their rivalry with the preds won’t make it easy though

could be either of the good canadian teams (tor/wpg) or the best metro teams (wsh/pit)
the only other team that even deserves consideration is nashville

Pittsburgh I guess
I think your Jets have to also be in consideration based on what they built up to last year and all those guys so young and now with some playoff victories on their side I think they are gonna ROUTE the league next year. I kinda torn between voting between Pittsburgh Winnipeg and even the Bruins. For some reason they are not discussed in the same sentence with the above teams but they should IMO

Pens or Jets. Went with the Jets as the West will be easier to get through than the East.

The Caps were slightly better than the Pens last season and I think they’ve declined slightly less this offseason, and I just saw the Jets lose 4 in a row with Stastny. Going Caps now Preds after Caps.

Jets if they get to keep Trouba. Niku could also be an upgrade.

The defending Champs.

Still a slick 1-2 punch in Kuzy and Backstrom.

I don’t like Winnipeg’s centre depth after losing stasny to rank them #2. Little didn’t look right last year and is on the wrong sid of 30.

Going with the pens for this poll.

I don't get how Winnipeg is getting votes over Nashville, Pittsburgh or Washington, to be honest. I don't think Winnipeg is better on paper than any of those 3 teams and they have less established success than any of them, too. I'm not going to pick a team with a total of 2 series wins in their entire existence over the cup winner last year, the team who won 2 cups in the 2 years before that and a team who made the cup finals in 2017.

I find Winnipeg to be pretty overrated at this point, to be honest. Their roster doesn't stand out as having anything extraordinary, that's my big issue with them.

Because Patrik Stefan and other years of gaffes totally affects this current roster :shakehead
