I get that he's young and cost-controlled, and that he'll probably give you a 4.5 ERA out of the #5 spot over a season, which is "good enough", but the dude is so frustrating to watch. Sometimes shows flashes of becoming something good, but I just don't see him ever getting better than he is. I wish we'd let someone like Brian Johnson or Velazquez challenge for the 5th starter spot in his place.

I mean, I kind of get it from Cora's perspective. It would burn two players in an NL park because you have to bring in Nunez to defensively replace him after, but that's a big spot with the bases loaded and a lefty on the mound. Pearce is your best bat there. If we had any chance of getting back in this one, cashing in on the bases loaded was tantamount.
