Since last years opening day they have lost Machado, Britton, and Gausman, etc. The tearing down is more or less complete and it looks like a long rebuild coming up.

2018 was bad, the O's had 47 wins and a .290 win percentage and were 5 losses away from setting the modern day record for losses. With a whole season in their torn down state will they find themselves on the wrong side history this season?

I think they will probably be a little better, it is not easy to be as bad as they were last year. Some of the young guys will improve, I think they may end up close to 60 wins

Depends how many of Bundy/Givens/Mancini end up getting traded.

Why would they trade them? Bundy/Givens have 2 more arbitration years left after 2019. Mancini is arbitration eligible for the first time after 2019 season.

The latter 2 don't exactly fit the age range of the direction they're going and there were rumors of them looking to trade Bundy last season.

Their prospect pool doesn't have that much in it either, I don't think.

It's really really difficult to be that bad, though.

If there's a perfect storm for it, it's the Orioles. Especially considering they're in a division with two true behemoths and another solid group in Tampa. That's 57 games of getting your brains beaten in and Toronto's kids are better the the Orioles' kids.

It would be hard to be that bad again but also their team is worse so why not?

That's kind of what I was thinking. I guess it's a little bit of an out there take, but they have a below average roster and are jn an amazing division
