Because they've essentially been first round fodder the past three years and a lot of their core is over 30. They don't have a lot of cap space to make any major additions either. Sure they've been a consistent playoff team for the past six seasons, but the Central isn't getting any easier, and the Wild aren't getting any younger. It's not so far fetched that they could miss the postseason entirely.
