Went to vote Nashville but was half paying attention and voted St Louis. Honestly sorry.

Nashville should be 2nd or 3rd. TB, Nashville, Washington are the 3 best teams in the league. Then WPG/PIT. Then a group of about 6 teams that have a decent shot.

when was the last time a defending cup champ got as little respect as WSH? I wouldn't have them as my number 1 favourite either but the years following all the recent Pens/Hawks/Kings wins I feel like they were always at least top 3 in polls like this

Tampa the perennial offseason/preseason champs

Yeah but theyve mostly done well in playoffs. Ecfs and even a final a few years ago.

Itd be different if they were always out in round 1 - or even round 2 like Washington until last year.

I dont have an issue with them at #1 despite no cup yet

They've honestly overachieved in the playoffs as they were were completely dominated by Pittsburgh and Washington yet were lucky enough to take it to a 7th game.

I’ll say Tampa in the East and Jets out West.

My prediction is based on Karlsson being traded to Tampa. I think Yzerman is getting impatient. His team has made it to the ECF 3/4 seasons. I’m sure he will try to get over that bump with Karlsson.

Jets because all their younger players have a bit more experience and if goaltending is legit which I think it is, they should be able to beat Nashville again (High end forwards beat high end D anyday) and make it to the WCF again where anything can happen.

Tampa does well in the playoffs because of the cupcake Atlantic division.

I went with Pens. Impressive team with TRUE leaders. I see no reason why some would disagree and vote Caps. They look fantastic too

I don't see Washington repeating an eastern conference title. It's close... Washington, Pittsburgh, Toronto all interesting options. Went with the pens.

I thought the Leafs were going to be HF's overrated team, but nope, it's the Jets. It's funny a team with 2 series wins in their entire existence is being voted over the previous 2 cup winners who are still at the top of their game.

I mean I get that Tampa lost both series - but they did take both Pitt and Washington to game 7 - and in fact were ahead 3-2 in the ECF 2 of the past 3 years.
