Those 2 knuckleheads in Philadelphia have been banned from home games for 1 year. :thumbu:

from ca.sports.yahoo:

The Philadelphia 76ers fans who yelled obscenities at Washington Wizards guard Isaiah Thomas won’t be attending another 76ers game any time soon. Those fans were banned from the Wells Fargo Center for 12 months after yelling at Thomas and flipping him off, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The 76ers didn’t stop there, though. The team also identified the season-ticket holder who gave those fans the tickets. That season-ticket holder had their tickets revoked by the team.

The incident that led to the bans occurred with under three minutes to play in Saturday’s game. Thomas went into the stands to confront the fans. Thomas and the fans were then escorted out of the arena.

The NBA has not punished Thomas for his actions yet, though that could be coming. The league doesn’t respond kindly to its players confronting fans in the stands.

They become a lot less belligerent when they realize there is no force field around them

I think we need a good milbury shoe game every once in awhile to keep people in check

It is really noticeable that Mike & Scal are calling the game off a monitor at NBC Sports Boston ( they do have a sideline reporter in Toronto however )

Was starting to wonder after not hearing much about that situation. He definitely oversaw major growth in the league, that’s for sure. RIP

He oversaw marketing genius. Absolutely turned the NBA from a niche sport that had finals games air on tape delay to a billion dollar enterprise.

But there were always conspiracy theories around about how he hated the Celtics and/or Red Auerbach, based on how he made Reggie Lewis's contract count against the Celtics' salary cap even after he died, and that fueled the other conspiracy about the Tim Duncan draft lottery being rigged against us.
