Gambling is as bad as a drug addiction is the point being made.
It’s worse IMO. The thing with gambling addictions is that you can still live a functioning life and people will never know. The ability to have an addiction but be able to hide it is scary. I’ve witnessed it to somebody close. It’s hard stuff.

No doubt, I got a cousin who got hit with like a 50k zloty debt and his undoing was the online gambling. Being able to crave your addiction by not going to the casino, but have that comfort in your own home is a troubling aspect to me.

Back in the days I used to work in a bar and we had (legal) video slots. I've seen people losing their entire weekly paycheck in an hour or less. I've seen older people coming every day until they lost their whole life savings and had nothing left. That's really, really sad.

Gambling addiction will go through ANY amount of money. I don't care if you make 10M a year, you'll lose it all and then some.

Gambling addictions can be pretty destructive. It's why Michael Jordan "retired" from basketball for a short time, and Jaromir Jagr got into some trouble as well, though he appears to have recovered.

Guys who did not recover are Leonard Tose (former owner of the Philadelphia Eagles, lost pretty much everything to gambling) and of course, Pete Rose. And I'm pretty sure gambling debts have all but eaten up Thomas Vanek's NHL earnings.

Mild cut it to 6-4, with 10 minutes left, and then Hartman gives a selfish, retaliatory slash to the back of Kane's knee and gets 5 and a game, and then Mild get called for too many men.

Sharts can't score tho, and immediately after the penalty expires, Zucker scores, and it's 6-5 with 4:35 left. LOL.

Didn't I tell you guys that the Sharks were not going to make the playoffs this year? Up 6-2 in the second and now it's 6-5. The team is garbage this year and I've said it since the start.

Jack Hughes is quickly erasing his slow start. 9 points in his last 8 games.

Kakko is better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not!
He’s going to be a threat to Makar for the Calder, and a threat to my heart if Byram doesn’t live up to the hype.

You can certainly tell he is starting to get comfortable. There were flashes during his slow start of his talent, but he was playing tentative. Now he's attacking and gaining confidence. Going to be interesting to see how he progresses this season.
