Goalies are pretty valuable

Drai for vasi is a bad trade and you know it. Everyone knows it. Especially before the dude 1st year has even begun.

And its ridiculous to say that you didn't know it because you and everyone else knows that randv would never have made that move. Vasi is a franchise goalie and youre taking advantage of the fact that ahmon doesn't quite understand the league yet. And you're handcuffing him and his team from the start.

Dont play dumb.

I don't think its a terrible trade, but I wouldn't have made it. If you are going to trade a top end goalie, getting a guy like Draisaitl is probably a good piece to take it return. I'm sure ahmon has a strategy at work here.

A one dimensional winger, who may be in line for a regression in pts, for a top 2 goalie in the league.

Thats not a trade anyone would make. The fact that ahmon is brand new is the only reason. I know it, luc lnows it, everyone knows it.
Hasnt even seen 2 weeks let alone part of a season to figure out whats valuable and whats not.

But fine whatever.

I find it funny the most complained about trade usually works out for the person being bashed. Props to those GMs making those deals. Ahmon here, and CaptainBo last year (who ended up winning).

Assuming vasi continues to be average and drai can maintain the 25 min a game it is a surprisingly strong trade opposite of what I was expecting.
