Vote using any whatever criteria you'd like. Only prospects that are eligible under HF's prospect criteria (less than 65 games played before 24th birthday, or 45 for goalies) will be eligible for this poll.

McLaughlin. Off the board but he was really good in the USHL which is a really overlooked league. His shot and offensive instincts are really good.

The more I think about it, is there really a reason to rank Jones above Kopacka aside from draft pedigree? They're fairly similar prospects except Kopacka has shown more obvious progression from year to year. Jones may have slightly more explosive tools but still had less overall impact at the same level.

I don't mean this as a knock on Jones, but I just don't see what separates him from another big, fast power winger who outperformed him at the OHL level.

Just ran across the Sporting News' organizational rankings, and thought I'd put this in here for... contrast/entertainment/whatever.

They have Terry as the Ducks' top prospect, Pettersson at 3, Steel at 5, Larsson at 10, with the Ducks' overall pool sitting at 15, noting that our exceptional drafting has earned prospects the "benefit of the doubt", which apparently doesn't apply to Steel or Larsson.

That's how they have them rank... man they got Jacob Larsson and steel a bit low.

I'd say Jones is more versatile. I remember reading his coach at London called him one of the best penalty killers in the league. Jones is known for his motor, which can be a huge asset for a bottom 6 player, but as we've seen with him, it can get him into trouble, too.
