Larkin's played more W than C so far too.

I didn't mention Getzlaf, Sedin, Bergeron because I didn't wanna mention anyone over 30. Just named the first few centers under 30 who came to mind. Point is that there's a lot of them and they're all better than whatever Larkin's shown, and many of them are pretty young still and so will be top centers for years to come. I wonder if Larkin will ever even be a top30 center in the league.

True true, but even then...Larkin has work to do even with guys older than 30 for the next couple seasons. a 45 point and 32 point season does not put you in that talk. Can't even compete with Kadri, RNH, MacKinnon yet. But, I do agree with everything you've said here pretty much.

Given that Toronto has Kadri on a pretty team friendly deal, Matthews and Bozak, I can see Nylander just being a full time W. Unless someone knows something I don't..

I think we'll be a bottom 10 team again. The only teams that feel confidently worse than us to me are Vancouver, Las Vegas, and Colorado. I'm sure there'll be other teams in the cellar, but I don't think think there's a worse team in the Atlantic than us. So it's imperative we swing for the fences with whatever pick we get next June.

I think if there is any year to be a bottom 5 team it is this year, I just don't see holland doing much being he has no cap space and rarely does hockey trades, I see green leaving at the TDL and possibly howard (if anyone bites).

Young defenders will be fun to watch.

What young defenders? Honest question, cause I am pretty sure none of the younger guys will make the team this year.

We already have:

Green
Kronwall
Ericsson
Dekeyser
Ouellet
Sproul
Jensen
Daley

Don't see any of the young guys jumping past, just yet, unless you are talking about non-NHL play.

Detroit will be the worst team in the east and will likely finish 3rd worst in the league behind Vegas and Colorado.

I did some sports betting few years ago, and then I used to ranks teams overall power with an old 2-1-0 system. No extra points anywhere.

From last 2 seasons, this is the weighted point-rank of teams. Last season points percentage is worth 2/3 and season 2015-16 points percentage is worth 1/3. Taking more season's in account little bit equals one season "miracles" in good or bad.

1. Washington - 0.660
2. Pittsburgh - 0.603
3. Anaheim - 0.598
4. Chicago - 0.578
5. Minnesota - 0.574
6. NY Rangers - 0.573
7. St. Louis - 0.560
8. San Jose - 0.551
9. Nashville - 0.540
10. Columbus - 0.538
11. Boston - 0.534
12. NY Islanders - 0.530
13. Tampa Bay - 0.518
14. Montreal 0.515
15. Ottawa - 0.509
16. Edmonton - 0.505
17. Dallas - 0.496
18. Toronto - 0.485
19. Carolina - 0.476
20. Winnipeg - 0.473
21. Philadelphia - 0.468
22. Florida - 0.468
23. Los Angeles - 0.468
24. Calgary - 0.462
25. Buffalo - 0.436
26. Detroit - 0.419
27. New Jersey - 0.390
28. Arizona - 0.388
29. Vancouver - 0.373
30. Colorado - 0.310
31. Vegas 0.244 (estimated)

We are pretty much 6th worst team in the league. I expect Arizona and Vancouver go up, because Vegas in same Division will give them easier points to hunt. Atlantic in General is looking to get stronger, so Wings would have pretty tough time in Divisional games. That points on regressing more.

I think we could drop to be 3rd worst in the league, somewhere par with New Jersey.

Vegas will be worst for sure, and Colorado has huge hill to climb up to be even 3rd worst.

Poor Washington. So strong regular season team, but can't beat the Penguins at the playoffs. It's like us with Colorado somewhere at 1996...

I'm particularly interested in how Vancouver and New Jersey do since they're around where we are in the overall standings.

New Jersey added Hischier, Johansson and Boyle....how much does that improve them?
