I think Boughner is being underrated. The push the Panthers had at the end of the year was them finally being acquainted and buying the coach's system. He deserves more credit than he does.

Hell yeah. He is a players coach, and the players seem to really like him.

How do people even judge this? When McLellan was picked up by Edmonton lots of people thought they had finally solved their coaching woes. Now people here wouldn't even consider him around the top half of the league in terms of quality? The bias towards quality teams sure seems evident, with only a few (like Gallant) really taking a roster and getting the best out of every player. Claude Julien was a top coach when he was with Boston, has that really changed now that the roster he's dealt is mediocre?

All I know is, I don't follow 30 other teams closely enough to know the in's and out's of the mistakes their coaches make or the Tanner Glass's that they regularly play.
